Q2 Wi-Fi Internet Radio Support

Q. My Q2 Radio App will not search for any stations?

Answer:

Because this is a legacy product, we are no longer able to support the application software with the frequent updates required to fix bugs such as this and so we are unable to confirm that this issue will be fixed any time soon. A possible work around is to uninstall the app and also the Java platform and then reinstall the app; this will revert the Java platform to version 6, however this is not recommended as it may expose your computer to security vulnerabilities fixed in later versions. In any case, the platform will once again update itself to version 8 eventually.

Unfortunately this is a known issue that is caused by later updates of the Java software platform, upon which the app is based. It was originally written for Java 6 whereas the latest version is Java 8, and since the platform updated to version 7, we have found that the search functionality no longer works. (Please note that Java is a platform owned and operated by Sun Micro Systems Ltd and so is not within our control with regards to updates etc.)

The best way to find your stations is to browse for them using the explorer tree (which is below the search bar). This lists the stations alphabetically by location and/or genre.
